Dr. Tina C. Anderson, Ph.D., LLC

Dr. Tina Anderson is a Clinical Assistant Professor & Special Education Program Coordinator at University of Georgia and the co-founder and President of Anderson & Ward Educational Services.  She graduated from the University of Georgia with her Ph.D in Special Education with emphases in Early Intervention and Special Education Technology, and received her Master of Education in Special Education from Augusta State University, with emphases in Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders.

In addition to working at the Special Education Program Director at UGA, Anderson is the co-founder of a private consulting firm, Anderson & Ward Educational Services. Her firm provides professional development, training, technical assistance, and coaching in over 125 school systems and state agencies throughout the United States.  Areas of training include response-to-intervention (RTI), IEP development, co-teaching and inclusion, specialized instruction, special education program planning, transition planning, assessment, behavior intervention plans, and dispute resolution. Her firm also provides professional coaching with corporate officers, managers and entrepreneurs looking to improve their educational, managerial or interpersonal skill set.

It is Anderson’s passion and commitment to helping others, along with her down-to-earth communication style that enables her to build and maintain long-term professional relationships in current and past positions.  As co-founder of Anderson & Ward Educational Services, she has been named to the 2013 Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses by the UGA Alumni Association, and the 2013 Georgia Excellence Award by the Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce. Anderson has also received commendation by the Georgia Department of Education for Innovative Programs in Special Education, and has presented at the United States Department of Education and the Council for Exceptional Children Conference for Research Project Directors in Washington, D.C.

Anderson is affiliated with the Council for Exceptional Children, the International Dyslexia Association, and the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards.  Her areas of interest and expertise include IEP development, postsecondary transition, specialized instruction, and inclusive practices.
