Brain Balance of Raleigh has earned a Board Certified Cognitive Center Designation

Brain Balance Achievement Center of Raleigh, NC has been designated a Board Certified Cognitive Center (BCCC), granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).The designation requires at least 80% of student-facing staff at each location complete a training and certification program that focuses on working with individuals with a variety of needs, such as anxiety, dyslexia, autism and ADHD.

“When parents are trying to navigate their way through understanding their child’s struggles, they seek out Brain Balance. We understand that many of our families have had a long road to get here and have exhausted other avenues before seeking out Brain Balance. However, we want each family to know that we not only acknowledge their struggle, but seek to understand the cause of their struggles, and seek to address each child’s unique struggle through our individualized program. We find great joy in coming alongside our families, from the moment they first walk through the door and through the continued support they receive even in their post program years.  Each day at Brain Balance, we see children’s success and families’ lives changed through our program. We want each of our Brain Balance families to feel supported and encouraged every step of the way with us, and to know that we are here through it all,” said Liana Sauls, Brain Balance of Raleigh program director.

Brain Balance was founded in 2007 and currently has more than 100 centers. Brain Balance employs a personalized and integrative approach through sensory engagement, physical development, academics and nutrition. Brain Balance’s program provides answers to social, emotional, behavioral and academic development.

“Professional training is incredibly important in our industry, and IBCCES has standardized training and certification that is globally recognized,” said Dr. Rebecca Jackson, Vice President of Programs and Outcomes at Brain Balance Achievement Centers. “We worked closely with the IBCCES team to develop instruction that meets the needs of our more than 100 centers. This new training program will give our team an even greater understanding as they work with students who face challenges with attention and focus, anxiety, learning, socialization and more.”

For almost 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for healthcare, education and corporate professionals around the globe.

“The IBCCES Board Certified Cognitive Center program complements Brain Balance Centers existing knowledge and builds on that knowledge to add an additional layer of understanding and professional review, allowing them to continue to have a positive impact on the thousands of families they serve,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman.

Brain Balance of Raleigh serves students inside of the center, as well as participates community events. The center has taken part in special needs fairs, elementary school carnivals, and provided gift baskets and certificates for other fundraisers. Each fall, the center takes part in the Teal Pumpkin Project, which encourages families to provide non-food treats to children as a means of inclusion to those with allergies and/or dietary restrictions. Additionally, the staff connects with its students’ schools to align goals and assist each student as much as possible. This teamwork approach between center staff, parents, teachers, and administrators has proven to be extremely beneficial for all involved, according to center staff. The center also holds monthly complimentary seminars that address the root causes of behavior, academic, and social difficulties. Parents come to these seminars seeking answers about what their child is going through, as well as to learn more about what our program can do to improve their lives.
