Since becoming a Board Certified Cognitive Center (BCCC) in 2020, the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Allen, TX team has been building and improving their skills to provide better services to every student they see by continuing their commitment to ongoing IBCCES’ training and certification programs. The BCCC designation is granted to organizations with at least 80% of their student-facing staff complete training and certification focused on best practices and strategies for working with autistic individuals, anxiety, ADHD, dyslexia, and other cognitive differences.
“We have been diligently working on implementing all aspects of our training, including the BCCC training, into our program. Since we assist such a wide range of students and families being able better to understand our students from the aspects of ADHD, dyslexia, and autism has allowed our coaches the chance to work closer towards meeting specific needs such as emotional regulation, focus on group settings, and overall academic success,” said Sydney Wesson, Center Director of Brain Balance Allen.
Many Center staff members shared how they found the IBCCES training to be very helpful and felt it gave them more insight into their student’s struggles and ways to help them better.
