Kuwait Board in Paediatric Dentistry (KBPD) has renewed its designation as a Certified Autism Center™️ (CAC), demonstrating its ongoing dedication to providing inclusive, sensory-friendly dental care for autistic children and individuals with sensory sensitivities. The certification, awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), recognizes KBPD’s continued commitment to clinical excellence, specialized training, and compassionate patient care.

As part of the certification renewal process, KBPD’s faculty, residents, and patient-facing staff completed updated training and certification programs through IBCCES, equipping them with advanced knowledge and practical strategies for supporting neurodiverse patients. Notably, 100% of KBPD’s faculty and residents have now completed specialized autism training for dental settings, making KBPD the first dental center in the region to achieve full staff participation at this level.

KBPD made history in 2023 by becoming the first dentistry clinic in Kuwait to earn the CAC designation. Through its ongoing efforts, the clinic continues to serve as a national model in inclusive care by offering sensory-adapted dental environments, pre-visit orientation resources, and individualized intake procedures that support the unique needs of each child.
