IBCCES Launches Global Accessibility Ambassador™ Program to Empower Changemakers and Advance Inclusion Worldwide

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) proudly announces the launch of the IBCCES Accessibility Ambassador™ Program, a groundbreaking global initiative designed to unite individuals who are passionate about accessibility, inclusion, and empowerment across every community and industry.

This visionary program equips participants with exclusive training and recognition to become leaders in accessibility advocacy, driving positive change across sectors including education, healthcare, travel, hospitality, and entertainment. Each ambassador will play a pivotal role in helping shape policies, promote inclusive design, and foster environments where every person—regardless of ability—feels seen, supported, and empowered.

The IBCCES Accessibility Ambassador™ Program program is free to join and provides participants with:

  • Access to training on global accessibility standards developed by IBCCES experts.
  • Membership in a worldwide network of ambassadors and industry leaders advancing inclusive practices.
  • Opportunities to give account of barriers and share feedback that influence systemic improvements.

Recognition through official ambassador credentials, events, and international visibility.

As part of the global launch, IBCCES will host an exclusive certification handover event with Dubai Holding Entertainment (DHE) during Inclusion Week, celebrating the first cohort of certified Accessibility Ambassadors. This momentous occasion marks a shared commitment by IBCCES and DHE to elevate accessibility from conversation to action, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in inclusive innovation.

“The Accessibility Ambassador™ Program is more than an initiative—it’s a movement,” says Myron Pincomb, IBCCES CEO and board chairman. “We are igniting a global community of changemakers who will redefine inclusion, inspire progress, and dismantle barriers through empathy, education, and action.”

“At Dubai Holding Entertainment, we are proud to be celebrating our annual Forward Together event, sponsored by Real Madrid World. It is wonderful to use this platform to strengthen our commitment to inclusion alongside IBCCES as they recognise their ambassadors. Our partnership with IBCCES has continued to flourish over the years, and we hold immense respect for the meaningful work they do.” says Nicole Stewart, director organisational culture and inclusion.

About IBCCES

Delivering the global standard for training and certification in the fields of autism, neurodiversity, and accessibility – IBCCES provides a series of certification programs that empower professionals to be leaders in their field and improve the outcomes for the individuals they serve. For over two decades, IBCCES has been a global leader, setting the industry standard in autism and cognitive differences training. IBCCES works in over 111 countries and provides training in 8 languages, and its programs have been recognized around the world as the leading benchmark in training and certification.

In addition to individual certification programs, IBCCES partners with cities, destinations, and organizations on initiatives like the Certified Autism Destination™ (CAD) and Autism Certified City™ (ACC), ensuring autistic and sensory-sensitive residents and visitors feel welcomed and safe. Destinations that achieve the CAD designation have completed a specialized program that ensures a multitude of recreation, hospitality and entertainment organizations have completed an autism and sensory-sensitivity training, certification and IBCCES facilities review process. The ACC designation expands on that program and includes IBCCES training and certification for the public safety, education, healthcare and workplace sectors.

IBCCES also created the Accessibility App, AutismTravel.com, and AccessibilityCertified.com – free resources for individuals with a variety of neurodiversities and disabilities, listing certified locations and connecting individuals to other resources and each other.
