Bowlero Lanes & Lounge Scores Big and Offers Fun For Everyone

Offers Low Sensory Hours & Special Needs/Drop-in Bowling League Every Wednesday

Since becoming a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) in 2019, Bowlero Lanes & Lounge (BLL) has been hard at work to enhance their accessibility offerings to better serve autistic and other special needs bowlers. The bowling alley became a CAC in 2019, designated by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, and recently renewed that certification in 2021 to continue updated training for its staff. Since the certification, BLL has introduced sensory hours, a dedicated time for special needs family bowling, and an ongoing young adult drop-in league to provide additional options for bowlers with sensory sensitivities and other needs. Turkey Hill Experience Adds New Accessibility Options to Build on Certified Autism Center™ Designation

Since its designation as a Certified Autism Center™ in 2019, Turkey Hill Experience has diligently worked to improve upon its accessibility program to better serve autistic guests. In anticipation of Autism Acceptance Month, Turkey Hill Experience is sharing these options with the community to ensure individuals and families know that all guests are welcome.

In addition to ongoing training, certification and support from IBCCES, the credentialing organization that bestows the CAC™ designation, the Turkey Hill team has developed sensory bags to help bring a sense of calm if the environment becomes overwhelming or causes too much excitement. The bags are filled with fidget toys, noise reduction ear muffs, and sunglasses, with all items being sanitized after each use. Kind Hospitality has earned the Certified Autism Center™(CAC) designation, which means staff at all of the locations managed by Kind Hospitality have been trained to understand and serve autistic customers better.
