Hartley Drive Family YMCA’s aquatics department in High Point, North Carolina, is now a Certified Autism Center™, giving it the tools necessary to better assist autistic individuals and their families. Their staff has undergone an in-depth position-specific training program that has provided them with the information they need to make the YMCA pool experience more accessible for those who are sensory-sensitive or autistic.
The Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory is now a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), a designation granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). It is awarded to organizations that complete training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors and their families. As part of the certification process, IBCCES also conducted an onsite review to provide additional ways the Library and Observatory can accommodate visitors and create sensory guides for each area.
The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) continues its partnership with the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to maintain the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) credential and enhance accessibility options for all patrons. IBCCES grants this designation and requires 80% or more of all public-facing staff to complete a training and certification program to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive guests and their families. The arts center recently renewed its commitment to meeting the Certified Autism Center™ standards since becoming certified in 2020
The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has named Amazement Square a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), marking the first Museum in Virginia to earn this accolade. The CAC designation is granted to organizations that have completed training and certification to better serve autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors. The training program covers various topics, including sensory awareness, environment, communication, motor and social skills, program development, and emotional awareness. IBCCES will also conduct an onsite review to provide additional ways the Museum can accommodate visitors and create detailed sensory guides for each exhibition as part of the certification process.
The Gilbert Fire & Rescue Department (GFRD) has achieved the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation, a certification awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that have trained 80% or more of first responders and public-facing team members in how to better communicate with and respond to autistic and sensory-sensitive community members’ needs.
The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) names the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) marking the first animal welfare organization to earn this accolade. The CAC program provides autism training and certification to AWLA staff and volunteers in order to better understand and assist autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals during their visit or camp.

The speedway joins the growing movement initiated by Destination Toledo to attract and accommodate more travelers. Toledo Speedway BMX is now a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). To meet CAC requirements, staff and volunteers completed training and certification to better assist and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors and their families.
