Aquatica Orlando, in conjunction with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), became the first water park in the world to earn the designation as a Certified Autism Center (CAC). During this behind-the-scenes tour, attendees will learn how Aquatica delivers inclusive experiences to their guests and gain insight into how the park became an Autism Center.

Autism and special needs is the fastest growing segment of the travel market and an ever-evolving legal issue under the Americans With Disabilities Act. This session will take a deep dive into recent legal developments impacting the attractions industry from an ADA standpoint and a research study designed to look at the impact of autism certification on revenue, attendance, employee morale, brand perception and community support at a variety of attractions around the U.S. You will also hear from a Water Park Operator who will discuss the planning and execution that is required to become a certified autism center from a park perspective.
