Kerry Magro

Disability Advocate

Kerry Magro is an award-winning disability advocate, best-selling author, movie consultant, non-profit founder and full-time employee at Autism Speaks. Magro who was completely non-verbal until 2.5 and diagnosed with autism at 4 had to overcome countless challenges. Today Magro travels the country as a national motivational speaker discussing his journey on the autism spectrum. In 2014, based on his speaking efforts he received accreditation from the National Speakers Association as one of the only professionally certified speakers with autism in the country. His career in speaking which has included giving 2 TEDxTalks later led to a stint in television where he hosts his own local cable TV show called the “Different is Beautiful Show” to highlight people who overcome adversity in their local communities.

Rachel C. Morgan, Ed.D., CAS

Author, National Speaker, CEO

Rachel graduated with her Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership with an emphasis in andragogy from Lindenwood University in 2017. She received her Master’s in Education with an emphasis in early intervention in Autism & Sensory Impairments from Lindenwood University in 2013. She became a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) in January of 2014. Rachel is the Owner and CEO of Consultants For Community (CFC); an educational consulting firm that assists parents, providers, and educators to collaborate and effectively problem solve in the educational planning of students receiving special education support. Rachel is a proud wife and mother of four amazing children of all abilities! She founded a non-profit organization called the Adam Morgan Foundation (AMF) in 2008 that assists families raising children with autism and other co-occurring disabilities.

Dawn Winkelmann, M.S, CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist & Feeding Specialist

Dawn is a Speech Language Pathologist and Feeding Specialist with over 20 years of experience treating children on the autism spectrum. She is an author and international speaker who coaches parents of children with picky eating habits, sensory feeding challenges and food aversions. Dawn has helped thousands of families overcome food refusals and add new foods into kids’ diets. She brings her education, experience and sense of humor to help parents and professionals become confident feeders.  Dawn works for the company ezpz designing sensory feeding products and has her own private practice in Colorado.

Carol S. Weinman, Esq., CAS

Autism Expert & Consultant

Carol Weinman is an attorney, autism expert and legal consultant, on-air legal analyst, behavioral consultant, parent, author and international speaker who specializes in special education law and criminal law. She represents criminal offenders on the autism spectrum and provides autism consulting and training to attorneys, educators and psychologists. As an education legal advocate, she has successfully avoided special education litigation by utilizing her personal experience and conflict resolution skills, and by working collaboratively with teachers and school districts.

Internationally Recognized Certification for Autism Professionals

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) offers certification programs to educators and licensed professionals who work with individuals with special needs. Our Certified Autism Specialist is defined as a professional who is responsible for the support and/or services provided to an individual on the autism spectrum that directly relates to the professionals’ specific scope of practice.

We are offering a special package for Summit on the Seas that includes summit attendance and cruise accommodations in addition to the ability to become a Certified Autism Specialist and access to 14 hours of autism-specific online training (14 CEs required to obtain CAS).
