Re: The BMJ’s Commission on the Future of the NHS
Dear Editor,
When concerns are high, issues are multiple, and situations problematic, the journal (The BMJ) is to be complimented for taking upon itself the task of a Commission for improving the health service. Realities may sound astounding requiring radical recommendations. In many a country, the pattern of mixed care, termed PPP ( public-private partnership) has been introduced / implemented with some promising results, that could serve diverse interests, instead of a sometimes ruthless insurance based care. Studied, analytical conclusions drawn can make a reformatory difference on acceptance, intention to implement.
The Commission requires to be wished well in the job undertaken in the wider interest of public health. Health systems the world over do require a relook in the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, in crisis-type situation or otherwise.
