PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE INITIATING YOUR APPLICATION.  All users of International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (“IBCCES”) products and/or services agree that access to and use of the IBCCES website (the “Site”) is subject to the following privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”):

This Privacy Policy informs you of IBCCES’ policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information (defined below) that IBCCES collects from you during the IBCCES application process.

Information Collection

During the registration process, IBCCES will ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that can be used to contact or identify you.  You are required to provide Personal Information to IBCCES during the registration process in order to complete the registration process. Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, mailing address, phone number, credential and license numbers, email address, date of birth and any other personally identifiable information collected during the registration process.  IBCCES will also collect data from other third-party sites to create a database of information.

Information Use

The Personal Information collected by IBCCES will be (i) used to contact you with newsletters, marketing and/or promotional materials from IBCCES; (ii) shared by IBCCES with unaffiliated third parties; and/or (iii) sold by IBCCES to unaffiliated third parties (collectively, the “Uses”).

Your Consent

If you do not wish for IBCCES to use your Personal Information for the Uses, you may opt-out of the Uses by sending an email to [email protected] to opt-out.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of [April 21, 2022], and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future.  Upon any material changes to this Privacy Policy, IBCCES will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on the Site.  Upon any material changes to the Uses, you will be given the opportunity to opt-out of such different Uses.

Security

We take precautions to protect your Personal Information. When you submit Personal Information via the Site, your information is protected both online and offline.  IBCCES uses encryption to protect your Personal Information transmitted online along with Fraud Labs protection.  Additionally, only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to your Personal Information. The computers/servers in which IBCCES stores your Personal Information are kept in a secure environment.

Once the registration process is complete, you will be asked to establish an account (“Account”). Do not reveal your Account information to anyone else. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Account and for all activities that occur on or through your Account, and you agree to immediately notify IBCCES support staff of any security breach of your Account. IBCCES shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of your Account.

The following Personal Information is available on the IBCCES public registry:  name, city, state, credential number, district, organization and expiration date of credential. All other Personal Information is kept private and secure, subject to the Uses as set forth herein.

Access and Complaints

You may access and review the Personal Information collected by IBCCES by logging into their online application. If you find any inaccuracies in the Personal Information collected by IBCCES, you may contact IBCCES to correct such inaccuracies.  You may request that IBCCES delete certain Personal Information; provided, IBCCES must retain certain aspects of your Personal Information in order to keep your IBCCES credentials active.
