First Cheerleading Certified Autism Center™ in the World

Zone Cheer All-Stars, Inc. has become the world’s first competitive cheerleading and tumbling training center to earn the designation of Certified Autism Center™ (CAC). Zone Cheer All-Stars completed a professional certification program from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to better understand how to provide the best possible experience for their athletes on the autism spectrum. The successful completion of this specialized training aligns with the new Pride! Cheer Abilities team and the organization’s ongoing commitment to provide a safe place for cheer athletes of all abilities.

“As the owner of Zone Cheer All Stars, I have strived to give all athletes a safe place to be after school and on the weekends. Becoming a Certified Autism Center™ only adds more reassurance that we are doing what’s right for the community we serve,” said Jessica Moltisanti, United States All Star Federation (USASF) Credentialed Coach, and owner of Zone Cheer All-Stars.

Zone Cheer All-Stars is located in Ponte Vedra, FL, and is home to over 500 athletes of varying levels. Zone has eight in-house competitive teams and works with the competitive teams from thirteen local schools. The first Cheer Abilities team, Pride!, is for special needs athletes of all ages and will follow the guidelines of USASF.

“We know that professional training and certification are critical to ensuring organizations can truly meet the needs of all families and engage from a place of understanding, said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman, “We are delighted to see Zone Cheer All Stars take this important step toward achieving that goal.”

For almost 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in autism training for licensed healthcare professionals and educators around the globe. Parents with children on the autism spectrum often find it difficult to find recreational and athletic options that can meet their needs. More families are seeking out organizations that have completed research-based training as they search for options. For individuals or families looking for trained and certified organizations, IBCCES created certfiedautismcenter.com, which features all organizations who have earned the Certified Autism Center™ designation.
