Code Ninja Encinitas Becomes A Certified Autism Center™

Code Ninja Encinitas is now a Certified Autism Center™(CAC). The CAC designation is awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete training and certification through IBCCES to help staff better communicate and provide assistance to autistic individuals and those with sensory sensitivities.

“Most kids’ programs expect a child to fit into their design, which is not always conducive to a child with cognitive differences. As a parent of an autistic child, I have first-hand experience of the angst and stress my daughter went through in programs designed this way. At our center, my partners and I saw an opportunity to offer a more inclusive program. One that was designed to meet each child’s needs so that everyone leaves our center feeling successful and confident in themselves. Making the decision to become a Certified Autism Center™ and investing in the training of our staff to become Certified Autism Specialists through IBCCES was a natural fit for us,” says Dawn Kristol, Co-Owner of Code Ninjas Encinitas

Code Ninja Encinitas’ programs are designed for any age, experience, and learning level. Students learn skills ranging from coding, problem-solving, critical thinking, 3-D design, digital art, and more.

“We’re excited to work with Code Ninja Encinitas as they focus on building a more inclusive learning environment and expanding their expertise in working with neurodivergent students,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES’ Board Chairman.

For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with clinical experts and autistic individuals to provide professionals a better understanding of how to communicate and interact with individuals with cognitive differences or sensory needs, industry best practices, and the latest research in these areas.

IBCCES also created CertifiedAutismCenter.com, as a free online resource for parents that lists certified locations and professionals. Each organization listed on the site has met Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements.
