BCCS, Behavioral Consultant

What’s your favorite part about what you do?

One of the top reasons I enjoy being a psychology professional is that I can help other people improve the quality of their lives every day. Many people throughout the world struggle with mental disorders and disabilities. Psychologists help these individuals learn to cope with their disorders and disabilities and overcome mental and emotional challenges. While being a psychologist can be stressful at times, it’s also a very gratifying and fulfilling occupation. As a psychologist, you’ll work with clients from all walks of life, cultures, and backgrounds. You’ll help a large variety of people overcome mental and emotional obstacles. And while you’ll face setbacks, the reward of helping children, adults and couples achieve their full potential will outweigh any challenges you may face.

How has your IBCCES training/credential helped you in your career?

My Board Certified Cognitive Specialist training from IBCCES gave me more creditability working in specific medical settings, with certain individuals’ educational environments, and allowed diversity to different clients.

How do you use/implement what you learned in the IBCCES certification training?

By guiding patients to understand themselves more. Once someone understands themselves, they can look inward, identify their own struggles, and become mindful of themselves, which in return assists an individual in working on themselves.
