One of two performing arts centers in the southeast region to meet education standards & maintain credentials

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts renewed their commitment to the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation, as well as continuing to enhance the onsite experience for guests. The CAC is a certification awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations who complete training requirements and offer accommodations for autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors.

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Continues Partnership with IBCCES to Hold the Certified Autism Center™ Designation and Enhance Accessibility

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) continues its partnership with the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to maintain the Certified Autism Center (CAC) credential and enhance accessibility options for all patrons. IBCCES grants this designation and requires 80% or more of all public-facing staff to complete a training and certification program to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive guests and their families. The arts center recently renewed its commitment to meeting the Certified Autism Center™ standards since becoming certified in 2020

Dr. Phillips Center Marks Autism Awareness Month By Attaining Certified Autism Center Certification

Since its opening, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has developed and provided a host of programs, classes and camps to serve individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Now the arts center has taken its passion and work to serve this community to the next level by earning the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
