|Why did you choose your profession?
|I chose to work in mental health 10 years ago to advocate and help individuals with psychiatric disorders and switched the field of behavior analysis 5 years ago when my son suffered a traumatic brain injury. I found that the use of behavior analysis is an effective modality for teaching socially significant behavior both personally and professionally.
|What’s your favorite part about what you do?
|My favorite part is seeing the changes and development of my clients through the technology of ABA.
|How has your IBCCES training/credential helped you in your career?
|I work mostly with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, so this specialized training has supplemented what my post-graduate degree did not provide specific to ASD.
|How do you use/implement what you learned in the IBCCES certification training?
|I utilize this training on a daily basis when I am creating and implementing treatment programs for my clients.
