Behavior Analyst
Why did you choose your profession?
I chose to work in mental health 10 years ago to advocate and help individuals with psychiatric disorders and switched the field of behavior analysis 5 years ago when my son suffered a traumatic brain injury. I found that the use of behavior analysis is an effective modality for teaching socially significant behavior both personally and professionally.
What’s your favorite part about what you do?
My favorite part is seeing the changes and development of my clients through the technology of ABA.
How has your IBCCES training/credential helped you in your career?
I work mostly with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, so this specialized training has supplemented what my post-graduate degree did not provide specific to ASD.
How do you use/implement what you learned in the IBCCES certification training?
I utilize this training on a daily basis when I am creating and implementing treatment programs for my clients.
