Keisha Powell
CAS, Psychologist-Autism Specialist
Why did you choose your profession?
Maya Angelou stated, ” What you’re supposed to do if there is something you don’t like; CHANGE IT!” I chose my profession as I wanted to make a difference in the lives of persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). I wanted to change the way we provide services and the way in which we view persons diagnosed with ASD. I wanted to educate other professionals in creating better school and community-based programs ideal for our population. Above all, I wanted to advocate for a group of people who are gifted, warm, and a true pleasure to work with.
I provide services to tweens, teens, and adults diagnosed with ASD in meandering the social nuances we call life. In addition, I provide resources to professionals and families in understanding the diagnosis. My services are located on my website: www.powelltherapysolutions.com
