Kidzapp partners with International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards to Enhance Accessibility Resources in Dubai

Kidzapp is happy to announce its partnership with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), which offers the only internationally recognized industry-specific certification programs for travel, hospitality, and entertainment organizations worldwide.

With one in six people having a sensory disorder and a rising autism diagnosis rate in the region, the IBCCES and Kidzapp partnership aims to help venues to ensure autistic individuals, people of determination, and their families have more confidence visiting their facilities. A dedicated category on the Kidzapp app and website will allow families to search autism-certified venues as well as venues offering free entry for People of Determination, to find the experiences best suited for their needs.

kidzappWith over 1 billion people of determination globally, it has quickly become the fastest-growing travel and entertainment market segment. As a result, and in accordance with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – National Policy for Empowering People of Determination, on January 4, 2023, the Dubai Economy and Tourism department announced spearheading a movement with IBCCES to train and certify hotels and attractions all over Dubai. This initiative will help Dubai achieve the coveted designation of Certified Autism Destination™. The partnership between Kidzapp and IBCCES will help build a database of these autism certified options for families to search and help plan their visit.

kidzappFor more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for healthcare, education, and corporate professionals around the globe.
