This designation is granted by IBCCES and requires staff to complete a training and certification program to better understand and welcome autistic guests and their families.

Tulare County Museum has earned the Certified Autism Center™(CAC) designation, granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). The CAC certification demonstrates Tulare County Museum’s commitment to making all guests, including those with autism and other sensory sensitivities, feel welcome. To meet the requirements of the CAC designation, Museum staff completed training and certification to better understand and enhance the experience for autistic visitors.

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards Expands Its Presence in the Middle East

For years International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has been working with organizations and individuals in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region to provide training and certification options for professionals working with people of determination, including those with autism and other cognitive disorders. With one in six people having a sensory disorder and a rising autism diagnosis rate in the region, IBCCES saw a need to establish a second headquarters in Dubai to help fill the cognitive disorder training gap for professionals working with and assisting these individuals. Western Berks Ambulance Association Earns Certified Autism Center™ Designation

Western Berks Ambulance Association has become the first emergency services team in Reading, Pennsylvania, to receive the Certified Autism Center™ designation.

This designation is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) and requires that 80% or more of the EMTs, paramedics, and other Western Berks Ambulance Association public-facing workers complete training through IBCCES. The training and certification program helps first responders to better understand, approach, and provide support to autistic individuals or those with other sensory sensitivities.
