The Houston Zoo becomes a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) after completing training from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This certification is awarded to organizations that have completed an autism-specific training and certification program through IBCCES to enhance their services, make all guests feel welcome, and expand staff expertise when working with autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals.
